Why Green River
Most people drive through.
You ride in.
Green River sits at the crossroads of canyon country — the San Rafael Swell to the west, the Book Cliffs to the north, and the Colorado River drainage to the south. It's raw, technical, and almost entirely empty.
We run this route on the Husqvarna FE 501 because nothing else fits. The terrain demands a machine that can climb, descend, and pick a line through rock gardens that would stop a SxS cold.

The route
Day by day.
Day 1

Day 2
Book Cliffs & Desolation Canyon Rim
North toward the Book Cliffs. Ridge riding with views into Desolation Canyon — one of the longest unroaded river canyons in the lower 48. Technical single-track, sandy washes, and a high-camp with a horizon that goes forever.
Day 3
Colorado River Drainage & Return
South through the canyon drainage toward the Colorado. Rock gardens, wash crossings, and the final push back to Green River. Debrief, photos, and a cold drink at the truck.

From the field
“The San Rafael Swell on a dirt bike is unlike anything I've ridden. Technical, remote, and the guide knew every line.”
“I've done Moab a dozen times. Green River felt like the version nobody knows about yet. Harder, emptier, better.”
“The Book Cliffs section on day two was the best riding of my life. I'm already planning the full loop for next year.”
